That's the only explanation I can come up with, after reading this story.  Or maybe some of the losers from the Guardian (no link, thank you, I don't want to barf).

Of course, to most radical animals rights people and radical environmentalists, the only thing wrong with this planet is people.  Well, now we know who is running the London Zoo.  I just wonder when it is that London was annexed by California....
