Because I am female, some people assumed that I supported Harriet Miers.  Sorry.  She was a cipher at first, and then the more I knew, the less I liked.

I prefer judges who are strict Constructionists.  Those that aren't tend to both make up rights and restrict rights.  I like the Constitution the way it is; until the American public changes it by amending it (a very difficult process, and rightly so), the courts should interpret it as written.

Judge Alito's record, education, and restraint make him a wonderful candidate.  President Bush finally listened to his supporters and kept his campaign promise with this nomination.
