Notes: UPDATE*** Romeo' s heartworm treatment is completed and he is doing fine. Romeo was taken in by a woman after seeing him roam her neighborhood in the county. When she first saw him he looked well cared for and so she assumed he belonged to someone, however as time went on his appearance began to worsen and this kind and caring woman realized he must have been dumped. He had obviously been shooed away from so many homes he was very leary to trust her enough to come and eat. She however gained his trust and began to feed him and contacted me for help in caring for him. NABS took Romeo into the program on 1/26/05 at which time we proceeded to assist her in getting him checked out. He tested positive for heartworms and underwent heartworm treatment on Friday 4/8/05 along with another dog. He was estimated to be prox 8 yrs. old and weighed in at 38 lbs. at intake into the program. He is neutered, has his rabies vaccination, 7 in 1 vaccination, and has been wormed.
