I figured it was time to add some information about His Imperial Kittenness Wayne. He is doing well, healthwise. He may have some adhesions on one side, and the belly scar does hurt him, but it doesn't prevent him from enjoying his kittenhood to the fullest.

His latest exploits include:

1) Deciding at 3 am he wants Mommy Love. He sets about getting this thusly: Biting my feet and waking me from a sound sleep. I move my feet back under the blanket, and go back to sleep. As soon as my feet have crept back out from under the blanket, he bites them again. Repeat process until the point I sit up enough to tell him to stop it, and lay back down. At this point, he decides I'm awake enough to give him Mommy Love, and he sits on my chest/throat to be petted, and bites my hands if I stop. (He's not biting hard, just enough to bloody tickle.)

2) He knows which cabinet we store both his squishy food (the "soft" food, in foil packets, his dry food is kept topped off and always available) and the dog food. He also knows that we open the cabinet doors from the top, using the handles. So, what he does is making a flying leap to either wrap his paws around the handles or hook his claws into the top of the cabinet door. He's gotten the thing open a time or two, but hasn't mastered the trick of keeping it open while trying to get in.

So, mom and I are standing there, when he does this. We put a plastic spoon through the handles, to keep him from being to open it. Most animals would have taken a time or three to figure out what was going on. Not HIKW. He takes one look at it, and the first thing he does is try to pull the spoon out of the handles. He specifically tried to pat it through, then when that didn't work, he tried to grab the bowl of the spoon to pull it through.

If he ever grows opposable thumbs, I am in so much trouble.

3) (This is the section he's not going to approve.) He has taken to trying to be "manly", and meowing when he stretches.

The problem?

He squeaks, instead.

'Nough said.
