View Article  Christine and her friends at the UH football game

Yes, the Cougars lost again.  But Christine and her friends had fun any way.

She told me the ESPN guy spent five minutes filming the game and the rest of the time filming the cheerleaders breasts and butts--apparently making a special effort to get crotch shots.  She and her friends kept purposely walking past him and saying "PERVVVERT!".  (UPDATE: Christine says I got this wrong--the ESPN guy kept walking in front of them.  They were behind the cheerleaders and the dancers.  They still called him a "PERVVVERT!" though.)

Christine made this shirt she is wearing:

Due to certain, uh, "physical aspects" it is hard to see in this picture that it says "UH".

View Article  Kevin Sites and his "responsibility"

I made the mistake of reading Kevin Sites open letter to the Marines.  He said he didn't know what was in the mind of the Marine who shot the terrorist--yet he clearly told NBC that the Marine had shot an unarmed and "subdued insurgent".  Then he says it was his "responsibility" to tell the story.  Yeah, his responsibility to his ego.

Well, Mr. Sites, you are now "responsible" for making more enemies for the US, killing more of our soldiers, and giving terrorists propaganda footage.

Though I think it is bad to hope for ill fortune to befall others, in your case, I happily make an exception.

Here's to hoping the next time a suicide bomber goes after Americans, he gets you instead.  At least that way there won't be any Americans killed....

In a story out of Plano, Texas, a mother cut the arms off of her infant then called the police.  The infant later died at a hospital.

This is so beyond the pale, I don't even know what to say about it.  Sick is just not a sufficient word for this; evil comes to mind--but again, it just isn't enough.  Poor little child.  I hope the mother gets the death penalty, but that might be too big a wish.

The winner of the Cat Fancier's Association International Cat Show was a white Persian queen named Beyoncé, after the Houston singer.

In the story by Paige HeWitt for the Houston Chronicle, the Persian, though named for a Houstonian, actually comes from Kansas.  Her full name is Budmar's Beyoncé of Inthewind.  She won Best of Show over 700 other well bred cats at the George R. Brown Convention Center.

The cat show, which lasts three days, brings in people from all over the world--and is such a formal affair that the judges wear tuxedos or evening dresses.
