I don't have my pictures up of the beautiful redfish I caught yesterday, but I will soon. I admit that I don't catch many, usually because I don't have a way to get to where they are. But yesterday, Ron and I went out on the sailboat (which has finally been repaired after the accident we were in). He wanted to try sculling, a type of rowing with one oar. (He made the oar himself; it turned out wonderful and I will be posting a picture of it as well.)
I wanted to fish, like always. It was sort of funny, once I caught that nice redfish, he suddenly wanted to fish too... ![]()
He didn't catch any redfish, but we hit a whole school of nice sandtrout. We caught several in the 15-16" range, which is a pretty good size for sandtrout. In about one hour, we caught over 30 fish, a combination of sandtrout and croakers. (Mostly trout.) Out of those, we kept around 20.
Tonight we will be having fish and chips....just as soon as Ron gets back with the lemon juice.
I am beginning to really love his little Luger...
