Hello. I found your website while googling Arrow Glass Boats. I too, have just purchased a (very) used Arrow Glass, though not nearly as speedy as yours. Mine is a 1976 Arrow Glass Bonita. 18 Ft. center console with a 175 Mercury outboard. This is my first boat, and in need of cleanup and refurbishing as well.
I've found a very nice Yahoo groups Arrow Glass forum that has been very helpful. You should join. I find it low on female contributors, so I'd love the comradery (sp?)
Consequently, I'm very sorry about you mom. I just moved my mom into assisted living this past December. Hard, but necessary.

Thank you for your kind words about my mom.

I will look up the Yahoo Arrow Glass website. I hope it has tips on how to fix up the engine. I am having a great deal of trouble finding manuals for the boat that are less than $50. I know I have to clean out the engine and possibly rebuild it. Most of the rubber hoses are also missing. I have been working on it, but can't manuever some of the parts (they are just too heavy for me). I did find new replacement seats on eBay. Since the posting is in eBay store inventory (and it is a 30 day posting), I was going to wait and see how much the seats are at Gander Mountain.

I have had a heck of a time convincing my husband not to just dump the Arrow Glass off the Roadmaster trailer. He wants to fix up the trailer for the Luger Southwind sailboat. He doesn't care very much for powerboats.
I think the San Juan is too far gone and he should use that trailer for the Luger. It has taken a while, but I think he is beginning to believe me.

It shouldn't be too hard to widen parts of the trailer to accomidate the larger beam of the Luger. In addition, we can strip some parts from the San Juan for the Luger.

It's easy to understand now why it's so hard for some people to give their boats away even if they are broken cost more to fix than their actual value. This kind of boats have a high sentimental value. Good luck in fixing your boat, it's a lifetime passion you have there.
