The very definition of cute, my white Chinese goslings came in first thing this morning.  Goslings are cute, curious, and one of the most intelligent of young poultry.  Unlike most baby birds, these didn't need me to dip their beaks into the water or food--they went right to eating and drinking.

 

These little beauties were born on the third and fourth.  They are tiny, but very active.  Unlike the pharoah quail, these have a very erect posture and a very direct stare.  The pharoah quail look at a person, these ones watch very, very closely.

The attachement is a tiny MPEG that I made for my daughters, so they could see just how cute the little quail can be.  The larger chicks are white coturnix (pharoah) quail, the tiny little ones are button quail. Though only 4 seconds long, it is 1.95 MB.
