I normally don't post here, as everyone well knows. But, despite my mother being in the hospital, I'm very very bouncy happy over news I got last night.
I sent three pieces, Bubble Islands, Betrayal, and To Find Summer's Edge, to InConJunction, up in Indy. My very first "real" art show. (My last attempt to show artwork was back in 4-H, with a drawing that I wish I could find again, I still think it was pretty good. It got a 3rd place ribbon, instead of the 1st place everyone else's got. Fantasy isn't much looked well upon, in those circles.) Honestly didn't expect much, expected all three to get mailed back.
One sold for the minimum bid, and two went to voice auction and went for more than the "quick sale" price. All I'll be getting is a check. ![]()
Time to look for more conventions with space still left for artists.
