This is Wayne. Some monster person tried to sacrifice this little guy, slicing him up over a period of several days starting on Halloween.
Currently Wayne has been to the Emergency Vet Clinic and to Vet Hospital of Alvin for care. His first visit to the vet's consisted of cleaning all the wounds, getting antibiotics and cleaning solutions, and stitches to hold his skin down (he was so cut up his skin flapped around in areas). Dr. Crump did surgery on Wayne during his second vet visit--and then realized that Wayne had peritonitis. So Wayne had to stay at the vet's for two days of IV antibiotics. He is doing better, but the vet bills have been very high.
Many people have donated money to help Wayne, and we really, really appreciate their help. Every penny has gone toward his vet bills. Since he will need at least one money vet visit and possibly one more surgery, we are still welcoming donations. His total vet bills have been over $500; we have received donations of approximately half of that and it has been a very big help.
