Rowdy, a four year old miniature horse, was gored to death by a neighbor's pet-but-wild six point buck. Poor little guy tried to get away, but the buck chased him around his pen and gored him repeatedly.
Buck deer are not pets. I don't care how many cute stories you might hear about buck "pets" of mule or whitetail deer, it doesn't happen that way. Once they lose their fear of people and the animals that are around people, they will hurt (or kill) someone. It happens every damn year around the rut, and still some idiot tries to raise one up like a pet.
