The little pup I got the other day has really taken to Alyssa, just like all the other animals around here.  He fell asleep curled up next to her. 

Alyssa is home to take care of me while I recuperate from my surgery.  It has been great to have my youngest home from the Army.

A woman in Indianapolis was killed by her own pet chow-mix dog.  The woman had two littermates, a male and female, which were about a year old, and the police believe the male was the aggressor in this attack.  The attack took place in the woman's own back yard.

Both dogs will be put down at the request of the family.

The air conditioning at the Austin Humane Society went out, and with the heat of our Texas summer really hitting, they really need some donations to get it fixed.  The cost to replace the system is going to run around $200,000.  So every little bit helps.
