From IOL, New Delhi, two little boys and two little girls were married to four puppies to ward off evil. 

Hmmm.  In the US, marrying your dog would be considered evil.  Heck, marrying a three year old kid would be beyond evil.  So I don't know what the heck to think about this.  True, I don't think they actually consummate the marriage, but the idea is just plain disgusting.

A woman was convicted of cruelty to animals and will never again be allowed to own companion animals in Virginia after one emaciated pit bull was found eating the carcase of another pit bull in her back yard.

The dogs did not belong to her, but were owned by family members.  The jury did not convict her of cruelty toward the dead animal, just the live one.

For this, she will only spend two days in jail.  Two days.   Some things in this world just don't seem right.
